I’m not longer blogging here. I’ve moved over to Tumblr (http://www.alexjcampbell.com). In the process I have gone from posting once every 2 months to posting several times a day. Here’s the spiel that describes what I’m up to:

I’m Alex Campbell. I work as a strategy consultant at a digital agency in Melbourne, Australia.

Mostly I post random stuff that I find around the internet. Sometimes I have original ideas. My focus is on understanding the ways that people are using the internet to change their lives and the world.

Coincidentally, developing this understanding is also my job. I work with big companies to help them figure out the best ways to use the internet to connect with people.

So you’ll find me posting a lot about new media, old media, and general business stuff. Advertising – although I generally find it distasteful and do everything I can to avoid consuming it. Finance – because it’s the glue that holds our entire world together and occasionally tries to destroy it. Politics – because those fortunate enough to live in a functioning democracy should take the time to understand it.

And of course the most interesting things in life: music, art, travel, fashion, pretty pictures. Some stories and photos from my life around Melbourne. And of course the kind of bad jokes you can only find on the web.
